My cipro did not work too well this time so my GI doctor prescribed xifaxam Have taken for a week and would like to stop it. I am not going very much, have tremendous gas without going, feel bloated and gas up more when I eat. Thinking about stopping it. I would think if I did not get good results after a week likely it will not work after 2 weeks. GI doc seems bewildered and leaves it up to me. No formation of output at all.

Have you tried a combination of Cipro and Flagyl? It should work better than Cipro alone. Xifaxam never had such an effect for my issues as that combination.
