I'm approaching my third year post take down surgery for my J pouch and I have to say with respect to my intestines I'm not experiencing any problems whatsoever. The fact that such a website exists suggests to me that a lot of people are experiencing issues and I just thought I'd post my testimony to give people some words of encouragement. I don't know whether I'm in the majority or minority, there were some issue initially but things stabilised quite quickly after 2 weeks. I did experience Jock itch which I easily remedied with some Canestan, I think the jock itch was caused by the fact that I used a bidet and I didn't properly dry myself.
I'd like to know how my experience relates to other peoples testimony, as a 3 year old J poucher what should I expect if anything in the future?
