Hi Everyone,

Happy New Year to all and all the best in 2014. Wishing everyone health and happiness!

I currently have a temporary loop ileostomy since April 2013.

Recently I noticed something strange and I am not certain if it is normal. Hopefully someone can provide some information.

I sometimes pass clear /white fluid rectally, which I have been told is normal.

However, I just noticed something recently when I change my bag (has happened more than once).

As I clean the area / skin around my stoma, I put a little pressure as I am pressing (not too hard) down on the area.

When I do this, a stream of fluid (also white or clear, like fluid lost rectally) comes pouring out in stream from a hole beside my stoma (part of the stoma area). It comes out in a stream because there must be pressure there - almost like bursting a cyst.

Does anyone know if this sort of thing is normal and has it ever happened to anyone here?

Thanks in advance.

Solomin
