ok, so I am sitting at a baby's baptism (hubby's family) in a garden in the country in a place that I have never been before and I turn to speak with the lovely older gentleman on my left...he turns out to be the baby's great-grandfather and we start talking families etc...and he mentions that his wife passed away last year....so we talk about what and why...'you know, she had a pouch, not one on the outside but the inside kind that she had to empty with a tube...'
Well I almost fell off of my chair.
This is the first time in 33yrs that I have met a fellow k poucher (or in this case the widower of) and in France of all places!
We talked for quite a while and he reassured me that she died with a very healthy k pouch...I am still in utter shock..she had had her pouch for over 30ys, one or the first ones in France...Too bad, I would have loved to meet her and talk with her...it would have been a pleasure.
Small world.
