Who to follow up with | The J-Pouch Group

Who do I follow up with when I have pouchitis will it be my surgeon or gi? I don't have insurance next year to see my surgeon can a gi give me antibiotics too?

A knowledgeable GI is usually the best bet. Some surgeons prefer to follow their own patients long-term, but I think that’s a minority.

I trust only my surgeon's advice . I have taken his personal number and in case I need to ask him anything he's available of whatsapp. In emergencies he said you can directly call me.

It's good that you can do that but my company doesn't give me the insurance I need to keep my surgeon. I'm sad.

I follow up with my surgeon and have been very happy with him. I hope I can stay with him as long as possible.
