Also, I can get VSL#3 DS through prescription, and no matter how many packets i order it still cost the same. What is typical dosage of the DS PACKET a day ?? I am thinking of getting script for like 4 packets a day even though I only take 1-2 so they will last me longer.

I get it at CVS, and it's covered by insurance (though I had to fight with them for over a year to get coverage). I use the maximum dose, but your reasoning about getting a max prescription even if you take less makes perfect sense.
Yes, like I said, The DS is covered by Express Scripts. but its still expensive. But no matter how much I would order it all costs the same. Thats why I was saying if i order twice as much, it will last twice as long and cost the same... I dont even know if i will need it yet though. My redo with Remzi is in 4 weeks and my take down wont be till spring. I have heard Dr Shen does not encourage using VSL#3???

I get mine at Costco, and my insurance covers it but it's still $63 (two packets per day). It's actually working though after years of pouchitis and antibiotics, so I'm willing to pay!
