Hello friends! I was just curious how soon after your take down surgery you got pregnant? I want to make sure I give my body enough time to adjust, but we also want to start a family! Any experiences you have feel free to share!

What did your surgeon say?
My surgeon told me that we can start as soon as we'd like to! Which is great but I just wanted to see what other people have experienced before we make the decision!
From what my surgeon told me is to wait a full year, that way your body is fully healed and your'e adjusted to this new pouch life. I do know that it is difficult for women with J-pouches to conceive so I get wanting to start trying immediately. But ultimately you know your body best. Good luck with TTC, I'm in the same boat myself. I'm a year after my final surgery this past March.
