Hi all!
Looking for some opinions please.
3 years post takedown and having 8 to 12 bms a day, often explosive and feeling incomplete. On taking a Cipro or Pepto within 2 hours they're more easy to pass, less explosive and reduce to 6 to 8 but after 5 to 7 days of use the same symptoms return. Have tried Codeine, Psyllium, Rifaxamine and Immodium and all work in the same way. If I rotate things it helps but find it best to take nothing for 7 days and then start again. Had a scope 2 years ago and all was well. Careful with my diet except for a beer or two everyday and take Beano before gassy foods which isn't often.
I'm thinking since Cipro and Pepto work so well and so quickly (if only for a short period) it could be Sibo or is it just the constipating side effect. When not taking anything or when the meds are not working I often feel bloated after eating and at night get hunger pangs. I can hold on and rarely have urgency.
I guess the only way to control Sibo is with diet and beer, wheat, yeast etc are bad.
CTBarrsiter, I read your post under "how many bms a day do you have" about excercising in order to fully complete a bm and will try this. It was an interesting post.
Thanks in advance
Paul
