Hi guys. I don't often come on here any more but every now and then I have these 'oh my god I forgot I have a j pouch' moments and I feel I have to share because I remember back when I really thought life with a j pouch meant the end!!! I'm less than 2 years post take down and I recently went on a 2 week trip to Thailand. So many boxes were ticked that had me so worried in the beginning. A long flight, sharing a bathroom in a small hotel room with my new boyfriend, a sensitive stomach in an Asian country. I even booked us on a day trip on a speed boat and completely forgot to check the availability of toilets!! My j pouch didn't hold me back one bit and it wasn't really until I got home that I realised what little effect it has on my life these days.

It's not that nothing has changed, its just that myself and the ppl around me are used to it now. I've found my new normal and it's fabulous. Hope everyone is doing just as well x

Amazing and awesome story!! i am exactly 4 months, 3 weeks and 1 day post takedown and somedays are noticeably different, some days i have the same moments where im like..."what J Pouch" lol, those days are a blessing and yep everyone around me is used to my pouch as well which is also a plus, i also love the fact that you have a new boyfriend, to me that lets others now that just because you went through this surgery and bathroom habits change doesnt mean there isnt someone out there who can accept them, seen some horror stories related to that lately, thought i would just point that out.
