Hey, I am getting a ton of e-mails suddenly, and I changed my settings to suspend all e-mail but it is still happening. Help?
Yep, all of a sudden (this morning), I'm getting a flood of emails even though I updated my notification settings.
Also, side comment...when I'm using my PC, I think the new site is easy to navigate and looks nice. But, it's really difficult to use via my smartphone, which is what I'm normally on. I'm unable to access the forums that I usually visit as only the top 3 show up for me. I tried following Jan's suggestion for how to view the other forums, but it doesn't work on my phone.
Haven't been here in years. Great new look. However I ended up with 17 emails this morning regarding surveys. How do I unsubsbribe to these?
I got all of the emails as well!
I'm also still getting emails despite having tried to "SUSPEND ALL", then later tried unticking all the notifications individually.
Nice upgrade though, shame I had my pouch excised 2 weeks ago!
If you go to "Manage" in the upper right menu bar, "Account," then "Notifications," you can unclick immediate email for various options. The notifications listed on the main Account page are just for setting defaults for a couple of parameters. You have to go to "Notifications" in the menu on the left to uncheck emails for things you may just want an alert for.
I think the default is to get an email you if you follow a thread or member, and to automatically follow any thread you respond to.

I think the defaults are affecting people even if they don't do anything. I haven't been on these forums in quite some time (I just pop in occasionally), so it was strange to suddenly receive e-mails out of nowhere. It seems to have stopped so maybe suspending all e-mail did the trick.
Are they going to stop or do I have to find it in the settings? Or would it be easier to just remove my account?
it seems to have stopped for me, after I changed my notifications to "suspend all e-mail." it didn't happen right away, which is why I posted about this, but I haven't seen a new e-mail in a couple of hours.
Please check your settings. Not just the main settings page, but also go into notifications and look at those too. Bill has not seen a way to not have notifications as the default; at least not yet!
Plus, there was that bug in the survey area that was spamming everyone. That was fixed, thank goodness!
