Hi, I live off grid in Spain & harvest rainwater that comes off the roof & first floor terraces into an underground tank. It's then pumped to a header tank thru a particle filter & then into the house thru another particle filter. I recently bought a locally made water filter that slowly drips thru sand, carbon, granite & anfora mineral. I have a TDS (total dissolved solids) meter that reads 70 before filtration & 85 after (500 being a safe guideline).
I believe that it lacks essential minerals for re hydration you'd get from bottled water, indeed a TDS test on this shows 260. Furthermore the taste is flat & takes time to get used to. I've read about adding unrefined sea salt to water to boost the mineral content but ??
What do you think?
Thanks in advance
Paul
