Vinegar test

Hi, does anyone know how quickly a pill should break down in vinegar to be sure it would break down and not go through me? And are you supposed to heat up the vinegar for the test? I got these supplements from a nutritionist that are supposed to help with hot flashes. They are very hard. I put one in room temp vinegar and it took ages to break down. Any advice?
