My son did a video capsule this past summer where they saw the capsule got to his pouch at 4 hours but did not exit his body until 9 hours. One doctor commented that they wondered if that showed a problem with pouch function - that it took so long to exit. That did not make sense to me - as I understand, the pouch is set up to empty when it is full - and when you have a video capsule you are not eating. So it would seem to make sense to me that the capsule takes a while to exit. He had another video capsule yesterday and this time the capsule took longer to exit. Does anyone else have an understanding of this (or usual time for capsule to empty.) Thank you.
