Has anyone had experiences with vaginal fistulas? I have a complex anal fistula and have been through a draining seton and last had a cutting seton. The cutting seton fell out back in November and I have relatively been ok with the fistula business since. However, I have noticed almost a "line that looks like a long slice" that runs from my ass crack to the side of my vagina but does not enter into it that I can see. It is sure but is not horribly painful. There does not appear to be another abscess either. It feels as though it is ripping. Unsure what this is-in process of contacting my doc and surgeon but wandered if anyone has had this? Just another joyous thing to deal with...Any thoughts?

I had many rectal/vaginal fistulas keep cropping up. The repairs with mesh failed and eventually the only repair that worked was a gracilis muscle graft from my leg and having my pouch removed. I hope you find a repair that works before you need something as extreme as me but sometimes the fistulas are your body's way of attacking now that your colon is gone and they won't quit until your rectum is gone too!
