UTI, C.diff and Antibiotics

So I have Interstitial Cystitis which always feels like living with a horrific UTI so when I get a UTI I never really know unless a doctor tells me when tests are done for check ups.

Well I saw this famous GI here at Hopkins for FAP and he said he pulled my labs from Hopkins when I saw a primary 4 months ago and the tests said I have a UTI so I should address that. It sucks because I am going to get tested today locally but I have to hope the idiots (most docs I see are clueless to c.diff) will know what antibiotic is the best one if I have had c.diff.

I read that many former c.difffers have taken Macrobid and been ok. Just wondering if anyone can comment. Bactrim doesn't work ever for my UTIs so I won't even go down that road. I want to give suggestions to this local doctor at the clinic based on what is best to take once having c.diff.
