Upper Endoscopy & Flexible Sigmoidoscopy

The prep depends on your doctor. My surgeon never had me prep, just no solids after midnite. My GI has me prep with the same guidelines and two fleet enemas two hours before procedure. I don't care for them either as I also find them irritating.

Fleet enemas are saline so they draw liquid out of the pouch lining and can be dehydrating. You can empty out the saline and refill the bottle with tap water to use instead, it should be less irritating.

Yes, it is over!!!!! I did the second prep with 1/4 left over enema and warm water. That was so much better.

He said I was cleaned out and that everything look great. I got pictures and the best part. My surgeon was there also and got to see it. So I got double the treatment for the price of one!!! My doctors are so awesome. How neat for her to see how well she did and how well it is working out.

Now the waiting game for the results. I go back in November. Praying for the best But aren't we all.
