I've been on Stelera the last few years, and while it's been working reasonably well in treating my Chron's symptoms, I've become a bit weary about the whole reduced-immune-system part of it.

I've become a hermit, especially in the winter months, not entering public spaces, no movies, no concerts, no parties.  This year I went to only one family gathering for Christmas and have been sick with a bad cold for a solid month now.

Is anyone being treated successfully for UC or Crohn's with a treatment that doesn't take a hit on your immune system?

I think most drugs if not all will affect immune system because Crohns and ulcerative colitis is a auto-immune disease and medicines work to affect the immune system in order to calm down the immune system and keep it from attacking healthy cells/tissues, I do not believe there is a drug that treats IBD that will not affect your immune system sadly.

I would suggest wearing a mask more often, I see a lot of people doing that to avoid getting sick.
