Treating pouchitis is treating a symptom, not the problem
Halo52208
so how do you find out what the problem is? I'm tired of antibiotics but don't want to lose my pouch. Who do I see to figure this out? I live in belle Plaine, Ia.
My new GI says 30-40% of jpouchers get pouchitis. He said it's because our small intestines are not meant to hold stool. I asked why some people have no problems and others do? He didn't know why. I did get put on Cefindir to kill the bacteria and Enteragam. So we will see how it goes.
