My takedown is for Feb 19th.

Of course, I have no idea yet how fast my body will adjust to the JPouch and when the potty break numbers are to a point I can actually go to work with.. But when that does happen, and I'm well enough to start back to my exercise program, will using the treadmill up my output/potty breaks? I know walking "kick starts" our intestines after surgery and such but what about weeks later? In the past, I would use my 15 minute breaks get on a treadmill and sometimes my lunch break was, depending on weather, walking up and down small inclines we have along the River. (I work in downtown Memphis)

I know everyone is different but if those of you who have been there and done that can share your experience, I would appreciate it.

I love treadmills Jenmy,
But you need to go slowly. Yes, physical activity increases motility and makes you want to go...so give yourself a few weeks to heal first and then start really slowly...things are still healing in there and you do not want to do yourself any harm...and test it...those 15 minute breaks sound about perfect to me...but no incline in the begining...and go slowly.

Physical activity is good for you. In the beginning you can use the treadmill for walking, if the weather is nasty or you prefer to walk indoors. As time goes by you can step it up as much as you like. I would strongly suggest that you enjoy safe physical activity whether it speeds you up, slows you down, or does nothing in particular in that area. It's not all about your bowels.
