So,

My surgeon has told me that it takes about 4 hours from mouth to end of small bowel, but, and there's no good way to say this, with my ostomy, it's obvious sometimes that things take a lot longer than that.

I had dinner at about 7 last night, was up until about 2 am catching up on work. Emptied before going to sleep. Woke at 8 to a very full bag, and during a bag change this morning, somethings exited that were obviously from last night's dinner. I'm not taking any medication to slow the bowels, etc.

This is more a of a curiosity question than anything else, but I am curious...generally, the loop illeo is a LOT shorter in transit time than my end illeo was, but then things take 12-14 hours to make an exit sometimes.

Same for me. Sometimes transit time is a few hours but generally 4. If I have a coffee the bag starts filling in minutes.

Activity speeds things up so I find things slow down when I am sleeping and then as soon as I get up and walk around the flow starts again. I can see dinner from the night before up to 12 hrs later if I've had a long sleep
