So I bought the Toto s300e bidet but it starts spraying water whenever I walk near it. The sprayer also doesn't retract following use. Anyone else have this issue?

The premist feature of the s300e sprays the bowl as you approach the toilet. This is a feature, and helps keep anything from sticking to the bowl. After you stand up the sprayer goes through a cleaning cycle for a minute or two, and the wand retracts when that's done. Have I understood your concerns correctly?
The wand is not retracting and the butt washer part is actually spraying the toilet seat cover before I even open it
It sounds like it's defective/broken.

When it's working properly it can't spray the lid. It has a sensor that detects when someone is sitting on the seat.
