Hey All,
Last month I was having issues emptying so I drank A WHOLE LOT of grape juice. That is over now and I haven't had grape juice in a few weeks due to mouth/tongue sores. My mom told me it was probably do to the acid from the grape juice. But in the back of my mind I was thinking about how my GI always asks me if I have tongue or mouth sores. My then mouth sores/ pain went away.
The thing is, I have been having intense tomgue pain. It's kind of like when you bite or maybe burn your tongue, but it doesn't go away. I don't understand because I haven't drank any grape juice in weeks. The pain on my tongue is so irritating sometimes I can hardly sleep or swallow. I realize it may be NOTHING HAVING TO DO WITH MY J POUCH. But I always hear about how pouchers and people with IBD have tons of random issues, and I know the tongue can tell of something else going on, especially for us.
I read online that the tongue pain can have to do with infection and certaim deficiencies. I have no idea. Any thoughts? My tongue feels like its been cut or burned ans it hurts to swallow at times and is irritating when I sleep. When I looked at my tongue from the grape juice, it appeared to ahvw white "dots" or marks" and I had sores which I get from time to time that are now gone. Now I have small red dots that are really annoying that hurt. They stand out against my tongue and are small.
I know I shouldn't freak out, I'm just really sick of my tongue hurting UGH
