That sounds pretty good Jan. I have to think about replacing my two toilets. They usually require two flushes to send everything down, and it is irritating. They are 12 years old and work, but I don't really know what the shelf life is on these things. They were installed by the builder, who essentially used the cheapest materials he could find from what I have learned through the years. I have had to slowly replace all the cheap original materials with better materials though the years. Better carpets, better tile floors, etc.

I had not really ever thought about toilets that much because mine work and I am more likely to replace a TV or computer that declines than a toilet. But is it likely that I can considerably improve the flushing power???Because that is really the area where my toilets are sorely lacking. It reminds me that when I did my sleep study a few years ago the bathrooms at the sleep study center had toilets that had the most powerful flush I had ever seen- it was like Niagara Falls pounding down that drain when you flushed. That made me wonder about the power of my toilet and whether it can be improved, but I did not think much more about it until now.

For me, the unexpected bonus was how quiet it was. Our old toilets were noisy to flush and loud while refilling. They do not have a standard flush or fill valves. The flush valve is twice the diameter that standard toilets have. It does not have a power "turbo" boost or anything like that. Just a gravity flush.
