Hi again, The repeat labs showed a decrease of ESR from 54 to 38, and WBC count was normal.  I'm not satisfied with sed at 38.  It was 24 in March.  I'd like to further pursue the increase in the rate.  What are your opinions on the next step?  I think it will be up to my GP.  In her last text, she asked, "how would you like to proceed?"   Any recommendations on what labs to run or doctors to see?  Also, the fevers have stopped.  This happened at the beginning of June, then quickly deteriorated.

Thank you so much.

Lisa

It’s rarely a good idea to treat a lab result unless you know exactly what the lab result represents. I don’t know what symptoms you still have, and I’m *very* glad the fevers stopped. If you have no symptoms you might consider declaring victory. That’s what I would do. The sed rate (ESR) is completely nonspecific, and may not mean whatever you think it means. If you do still have symptoms that’s a different story.
