Cant be annoyed with this anymore!! - Still loosing weight, ive lost over 2 stone from March (Takedown), its still falling off. I am taking over the max dosage of immodium, codeine (2 x 3 daily) & Ciro (500MG x2 daily) yet im going around 10 times per day, at night im up at least every 2 hours.

ive been to the hospital recently, and basically sent home again to wait another 3 months to see how things are.

im trying shakes to hopefully stop weight loss - although i think its increasing frequency.. not sure to stick with it or leave it

please HELP

I lost almost 40 pounds after returning home following BCIR surgery.  MY GP advised me to drink high calorie shakes (e.g. Boost, Ensure, etc.).  I also experimented with other high calorie foods.  After several months, my weight stabilized and then began to increase.  Since I had a few extra pounds to start with, I had to adjust my intake when I reached my desired weight.  Perhaps your path will be similar as your body adapts to your revised “plumbing”.  Foods that add bulk to your output should reduce the adverse effect of nutritional shakes.  Good luck!

Thanks for the replies.. I will stick to the protein/high calorie shakes for another week, hopefully my gut starts to accept them. Really don't want more weight loss.

I suppose on a bigger picture the daily trips have decreased due to the meds, just need weight stabilised and then start gaining, even if it was slow gain I would be happy as its a sign I'm going in the right direction.
For protein, I know that whey (lactose containing anything for that matter) increases my frequency but I tolerate soy protein.  I have lost 20 lbs ...not sure how many stone that is since my surgeries in Feb and take down in Apr.  I know I am tired of being tired...and feeling weak from muscle loss.  My point being you may need to change protein sources.
