My pouch perforated at the tip last September and it has been a battle ever since. The first attempt to fix it was an emergency and it failed miserably, leaving me with a fistula as well as the leaking pouch.

The second and final attempt to fix was completed April 4th in Cleveland. We are waiting to see if it has held. If it hasn't, my options are a pouch redo or permanent ileostomy. Both surgeries were full open.

I don't have the problem but I feel for you having two open surgeries.
I had three within a month one lapro and the two opens just about did me in because they were in the same week.
I NEVER want to be opened up again. Ouch! Never.
