If you want to make your psyllium husk drink thicker, you can combine it with ingredients that enhance its gel-like texture or naturally thicken liquids.

* Chia Seeds: Soak them with psyllium husk for a thicker, pudding-like texture.
* Flaxseeds (Ground or Whole): They absorb liquid and thicken when mixed with water.
* Oats or Oat Flour: Blend or mix finely ground oats to create a thicker, fiber-rich drink.
* Gelatin or Agar-Agar: Use these natural thickening agents for a firmer gel-like consistency.
* Almond Butter or Peanut Butter: Adds thickness along with protein and healthy fats.
* Mashed Banana or Avocado: Naturally thick and nutrient-dense options.
* Use less water or liquid when preparing your drink.
* Mix in milk alternatives (like coconut milk or oat milk), which are naturally creamier and thicker than water.

I tried this today With the chia. Because I can get really constipated I have to watch however the amount of chia. It worked excellent. 1 large T of Psyllium 1t chia. Great start. Far less liquidy irritating stool and transit time much better (longer). I had it on my list to put some directly on food but this is easier and better. I thought I had tried everything. Even putting in cereal and pudding or yogurt does not work as good as with water psyllium mix. It’s probably because if it’s not with liquid it doesn’t gel as well. A million thanks.
