three years ago during my recovery an extended release medication I was taking for an unrelated issue caused such havoc upon my pouch, that I thought I was going to lose the pouch.
i only figured it out when i went on medicine holiday to figure out the culprit , by adding them back one at a time.
If your transit time is quick then these will only work if you can slow it down. Gentle use of bowel slowers, like Imodium or Lomotil, might help. I get fine results with pantoprazole, which is extended release, but plenty of folks here report poor results.
I honestly would not recommend Timed release or extended release medications. That is my personal opinion. I would explain my situation to the doctor very thoroughly but some medications only have that option unfortunately.
