know this sub. not important to many/very much to me. WHY! husband is from Daytona, when we 1st met I was really tan b/c I kept children/took them once /sometimes twice day. Easier back then b/c bathroom was close. Now nomt only do I have different issues on meds. more which keep out of sun... when 1st got married went to tanning booth few times. used fake tanning. two problems w/what I have used. smell/when perspire stains everywhere. QUESTION: has anyone use one that has been good? I apologize for what seems such a petty thing. I am going through a lot right now so this should not even be on my mind... Not only is hot weather on its way. will be going to nephews baseball games/will get hot/b/c I am so white I feel need to wear more clothing no matter what...Also niece getting married/parents were killed In auto acc. Christmas Eve. 4yrs. ago. husband is walking her down the aisle which means we will also attend dinner night before. It is in Daytona. Thanks in advance. Really hope to see post.

Kk,
I undestand that we all have a 'look' that we feel comfortable with, that makes us feel 'like ourselves'. If we look different (in your case, pale) we feel uncomfortable with our appearence.
I spent a good part of my youth and young adulthood without ever going into the sun. Worked inside a mall, never went to the beach...so I have no problem with being pale, that is my normal (and I am very fair so sunshine and my skin are not good friends).
I think that the tanning lotions or creams are a good alternative. There is a great one from Guerlain that is pricey but effective. Carrot juice helps to prepare your skin for tanning and gives you a healthy base (beware, too much gives you an orange tint)...so if you want to combine the two you could achieve a happy medium without too much exposure to the sun.
I hope that you find a solution and that you are beautiful for the wedding.

I've always like the Jergens brand (they have one for body and one for face). The odor is really minimal now...they have done a great job bringing it down. I've never had issues with any transfer of color or staining on my clothes as long as I let it dry a few minutes before getting dressed. If I want a nice glow, I usually use it every day or every other day for a week prior to my trips. I don't like to use it for more than a week or I think it starts to look not natural.
Know this might be expensive but Dior has the best bronzer
I use Arbonne self tanner and love it!
Look up the "tarte" self tanner. Read the reviews on QVC and tartecosmetics.com. It's only been out for less than 2 years and it is a hit!! You can also watch utube reviews of it.
I bought it last summer..I think it is the best..I now only use Tarte cosmetics..great for your skin!!

I got a deal at a local place for a Versa spray tan. It smells that evening until you can shower, but no spells after that. Pretty. Not cheap when not purchased on a "deal" though and still must wear sun block if on keep out of the sun meds as it offers no protection. Lasts at least a week-maybe more.
