I’m having really bad pain in my tailbone area. I had my surgery over 13 years ago. It is more constant I notice when I am standing a lot. I tend to squirm around so much because it hurts so bad. Anyone know what could be causing this?

Could possibly be pouch infection. I often get tailbone pain when I have pouchitis.
I had terrible tailbone pain after my takedown surgery. The pain would bring me to my knees. The pain meds I had for my recovery from surgery did not help, which made me think it was nerve pain. I went for acupuncture and that helped immediately. Over the course of a few weeks, having acupuncture about 2 or 3 times a week, the pain went away entirely. I thought I was going to lose my mind from the pain (which I had about 20 times a day) and was so grateful to find a skilled acupuncturist to help me.
Tailbone pain is sometimes evidence of an abscess. OTOH I had it for about a year or two, never figured it out, and it disappeared on its own. It hurt worst when I was getting off a bicycle.
Good point, Scott. I should have mentioned that I went to my surgeon who ordered scans and everything looked normal, so he wasn't concerned about the pain and assumed it was just part of the healing process. It's a good idea to rule out anything like an abscess or pouchitis.
