I will have my j-pouch removed and get a permanent ileostomy on March 13th. Has anyone had this surgery and how did it go?

Bobby, I just had this surgery four weeks ago. Please feel free to PM me; I will share anything and everything with you. I have some irritation around my stoma and a lot of gas output but, other than that, I'm very happy that I went through with it. I am no longer running to the bathroom in pain and that's BIG.
