I need surgeon recommendations for Boston, for a UC friend that is seeking surgery. If you can, also let me know what hospital they are affiliated with.
I had my surgery at Boston childrens hospital, but have since transferred my care to Brigham and women's hospital. Dr. Korzenik is a great GI doctor. Maybe she could see him and get a reference for a surgeon.
hi, i live in Boston too. My GI is Dr. Falchuck. You could ask him. He works at Beth Israel and used to be the head of the Chron's Colitis foundation. He is good.
I am about to go see Dr. Deborah Nagle in Boston. She is a surgeon Dr. Falchuck recommended.
I used Dr. Peter Mowschenson from the Beth Israel Hospital, in Boston. I absolutely adore him, answers emails almost immediately and is very compassionate and caring. He appears to be very cool when you first meet him, but it's only because he's so busy. I had my surgery done in 2001, and he's still there for me when and if I need him.
Peter Mowschenson is who Mark Peppercorn sent me to originally. Peter was too conservative to take me on for a J-pouch, but that's generally a good thing in a surgeon.
