Well I am 6 months post op and have been having difficulty with excessive gas. I am also green acidic stool for 6 weeks now. I tried all types of ant-biotics t get rid of it but nothing work.

Finally visited my GI...he says that I have inflammation in my pouch and also a stricture. Advised me to see my surgeon.

Could a stricture result in excessive gas and green stool? Is inflammation the reason for the stricture? What am i supposed to do...my surgeon stays 4 hours away and given me appointment for next week??

Yes, your stricture can be the cause of your symptoms. It is most likely that your stricture is the cause of the inflammation, than the other way around. But, once there is inflammation, the swelling can increase the effect of the stricture by causing further narrowing. Once you are dilated, the inflammation and resulting symptoms should improve quickly.
