I have a stricture near my connection site that constantly has been giving me problems.
Just ordered the squatty potty hoping it may help. Has anyone had success using one that has a stricture?

This haunts me. I have repeat dilations under anesthesia every few months. I also use warm water enemas. I me have To have the scar tissue removed via a transanal surgery. On constant antibiotics from pouchitis due to difficulty emptying pouch. Do not strain. Stop any work flowers if you take them. Drink lots of water.
Squatting will help increase internal pressure, but that does not prevent or treat the stricture. It can help with evacuating the pouch, but at the risk of straining to the point of causing damage (prolapse). So, be careful!

Thank you. I'm not looking to treat my stricture but appreciate you telling me that. Because of its location, nothing can be done about it. Just looking for ways to help out. Haunts me too!
If you are talking about a stricture at your ileostomy reconnection, then a squatty potty will not help that at all, as it is well above the pouch. Squatting is for emptying the rectum.
Massage is your best bet, along with avoiding roughage and high fiber. It may not be possible to dilate this, but they can resect the stricture or do a stricturoplasty.
