Hello All,
My wife is 6 months post takedown. She had a severe pouch outlet (anastomosis) stricture dilated under endoscopy. The surgeon said he was able to "successfully" dilate the stricture.
1) What is the typical recovery of this procedure?
2) Is there immediate complete relief or is it a gradual recover?
3) How quickly can the stricture re-develop? We were told that because it is scar tissue that it takes time.
So far we have experienced complete relief of pain, cramping and leakage.
Urgency is improved, but frequency is still very high, 15+ times per day.
Also still experiencing lots of pressure while trying to empty.
Just trying to find out what to expect before contacting surgeon so early after procedure.
Thanks
