Hi,

I actually also posted a similar post on Gen Discussion board-so I guess this is a duplicate but I'm not getting any responses there. 2+ years post take-down I started having sharp pains & "hot", nerve-like sensations near my stoma site & also down below my belly button to the left. Doc is sending me for a CT Monday to see if it's a hernia but she couldn't feel any hernia. She already ruled out stricture from digital check. I think somehow this could be related to the fact that I tapered off of Celexa (like Paxil an SSRI) a month ago plus. If anyone here has every gone off an SSIR (even slowly, tapering, like I did for months) you know what I mean about all the starnge side effects. Please share your thoughts about what could be wrong here. Thanks.

Seems more related to the surgery than your medication withdrawal, but stopping the Celexa certainly could cause you to be more aware of internal sensations. My guess would be that this is either an undetected hernia, or adhesions that are tugging on your nerves.

The CT may or may not show anything if this is adhesion related.
