can people with a straight connect get pouchitis?

I don't know but think it's possible. I think that means there is still a rectum and there is a "pull through" to connect the remaining intestines to the rectum. Is that correct?

You need a pouch for pouchitis, just like you need an appendix for appendicitis. But with a straight pull through, you can still get ileitis. So, in that sense, you can develop inflammation in any part of your body.
