anyone know about stomach noises? do they lessen with time. Seems like I get trapped gas around my old ostomy site and it causes repetitve noises every few seconds until things pass through that area. Anyone else experience this?

I am 17+ years post op and still get a rumbly tummy. But, it is not all the time, mostly depends on what I eat. I never even had an ostomy, so can't blame that...

Mine can sometimes be heard in the next county. I'd try blaming the dog, but I don't have one.
I have the same problem!!! Except mine comes straight from the pouch. People think its my stomach but little do they know, it's actually coming from my bum!
Usually have some amount of noise every day. I think that I have more noise now than before my surgeries. Many times it's loud enough for someone in the next cubicle to hear. I suspect everyone is a little different. I can actually make myself gurgle and slosh almost anytime of the day if I press and jiggle on my abdomen in the area where my loop ileostomy had been. It's kinda weird, but it's a small issue in the grand scheme of things. I've just learned to accept it and not worry about it too much. Don't sweat the small stuff...
Some days my stomach makes a ridiculous amount of noise, and I can actually feel it rumble. It's usually in the area of the old stoma site. Other days, it's very quiet. I do think it could be adhesions/scar tissue. I never had much noise prior to my takedown, though.
I had it happen during a job interview once. I kept a straight face and got the job anyway.
This still happens from time to time with me (after 10 years post takedown). People presume I'm hungry and start offering me mints, etc! I've been told the noises are called, "burbulence".
Every day I have the noise especially at night! I just think it is the passing of all the food and liquids going through. Every one can hear it even if the room isn't noisy. Oh well, just another new thing to add to the list of j pouchers. Is it painful in certain areas where it takes your breath away? That is my issue at times.

I have it a lot! It is very loud. It happens during meetings at work and the whole room will turn and stare. I just laugh and go on with the meeting. Everyone always says get that girl some food. I also burp A LOT when I eat and drink. These are really loud also. I never did that before my j-pouch.
The burping may have nothing to do with the pouch per se. If your diet or eating habits have changed I'd imagine that to be the more likely cause. For example, eating faster (e.g. If you no longer dread it) would lead to swallowing more air. I'm sure there are other possibilities.
I have rumbling often too. Most of the time it is painful and everyone just thinks my stomach is growling and I should eat. Usually it is happening because I should go to the bathroom though. It's kind of embarrassing especially when dating :/
I have just noticed increased tummy noises the last few days... my guts are super loud recently!
I used to have crazy amounts of belching with any food or drink. I discovered it was related to my acid reflux, and once I got that treated, the belching decreased significantly.
