Funny you post this.  I am three weeks post take down, and my site has the same giant stitch sticking out of it too.  I was told it was absorb but I am not seeing any sign of it.  I am tempted to call my CRS and ask if I can just cut it and pull it.  Interested in what others have to say.

How is life six weeks out because my butt is NOT happy with me?  I know everyone says look at improvement in weeks or months but AGGGHHHHHH

My take down was 2 weeks ago.  My surgeon seems to have only stitched the muscle tissue with actual stitches.  The fat and skin above that was glued, I think.  Mine has oozed the whole time, and the glued portion split open and has gradually been getting wider.  It's starting to scab up pretty good now, and I think when it's healed I'll have a somewhat wide scar, but my abdomen will look normal (no dents or pinched in places)  It's only 1" long, so it really hasn't been an issue.

So they came completely out? Like, you pulled them from your skin and threw them away? Just making sure I understand lol. My hole was left open. It wasn't stitched closed. As it started to heal, the stitches started working their way out. I figured by now my skin would've healed over them. It's just irritating bc my pants gets caught on them constantly. It's hard to wear jeans right now. And sometimes they just kinda hurt bc they're trying to poke through the skin that's already healed over. But if they'll come out I guess I won't worry about it since they don't look infected. Thanks guys!

Don't worry about the bleeding....like weirdly unlikely given the level of the sutures (ie above fascial layers etc).  I am glad you got them out.  I went in for 4 weeks follow up yesterday and my surgeon just snipped them and removed.  Both were supposed to be absorbable, but apparently, my body had different ideas.  Chevygirl -- I too, feel sooooooo, much better with them being gone.
