I got my jpouch in 2002.  Six years ago I had a complete hysterectomy.  Current: a stitch from the hysterectomy came through the vaginal wall and caused granular tissue to form.  It is getting larger even after being cauterized 4 times.  Several cultures have come back positive for e-coli on the granular tissue.  The doctor that did the cultures made sure not to let the swab touch anything but the granular tissue.  The granular tissue is beet red, bleeds and is pussy.  I have vaginal bleeding with a  foul smell. I had an MRI and the colorectal surgeon doesn’t like how close the vagina and jpouch are.  From previous surgeries, we know I have tons of scar tissue.  We are concerned I have a fistula between the jpouch and vagina.  He ordered a barium test to be preformed and I’m waiting to have that.  My doctor said he’s seen fistulas but nothing to this level.  Has anyone heard of anything like this?
