Surgery took place august 5th, was supposed to consist of removing more of my rectal cuff and give me a temp ostomy for awhile.
when i woke up she said that when she went in laperoscopic she found my small intestine had fallen down to where my pouch is and was wrapping around something that could have been cutting off bloodflow,when my intestines fell down she said that they developed a type of kink similar to a bucket, once the bucket was full it continued to flow as normal but im assuming my gas issues stemmed from stagnant stool like that. she gave me the temp ostomy then used some kind of mesh and tacked my intestines back up into a position. dont know when takedown will be . depends on how long i decide to deal with this ostomy. not really bad just have pretty low confidence and tend to stay home instead of going out.
