I tried it at one time, but it did nothing for me, as far as I could tell.

There really is no "best" probiotic, but some studies have shown VSL#3 can help keep pouchitis under control after having been treated with antibiotics. I would look for a probiotic that has a large number of live organisms. I still like good ol' PB8.
I have from time to time. When I had UC I used it as part of an enema when flaring. It would provide some symptomatic relief. I have also mixed it with hot water to make a tea. It may help with fairly minor irritations but not terribly effective for pouchitis - at least not for me. Any particular reason for asking?

Best probiotic? I don't think anyone knows the answer to that - at least for the time being.
