So I've been on Levaquin and entocort for a couple weeks now and I've been having a lot of sleep paralysis and hallucinations. (2/3 times a night for 4 days now. Is there any connection with the drugs side effects of these or has anyone experienced it while on these medications?

I've had a small history of sleep paralysis back when I was on a ton of medication but they said I most likely was just a side effect.

Disruption of REM sleep regulation can cause this.

Steroids are known to be a cause of sleep disruption, and that is why you are supposed to take them in the morning. But, Entocort is not supposed to be systemically absorbed much, and what is absorbed is supposed to be metabolized in the first pass through the liver. But, maybe you are just extra sensitive to small amounts.

Levaquin, and all fluoroquinolones, can cause insomnia and anxiety, so a more likely culprit. If you are not going to be on it long, maybe you can stick it out. Otherwise, maybe time to think of a different antibiotic.
