Skin discoloration

Hey everyone!

So I am 4 months post op an doing well. Just curious though, has anyone experienced discoloration of the skin around where the sticky part of the ostomy bag was? Will it go away? Anything to help it along? Thanks for listening!

Yes, I had skin discolouration where the barrier was applied that lasted quite a while, almost a year. You could actually see the shape of the barrier on my skin. Keep in mind, though, that I had my ostomy for 2.5 years and that's probably why it took so long to fade. But it should fade eventually.
