sister underweight and having surgery soon

I posted about my sister who has been sick for a couple of months with UC. She tried Remicade and seemed to be doing better. She gained back 10 pounds and felt like she was going to make it through her first flare. In the last two weeks she lost all the weight she gained and then lost more weight. Now she's 85 lbs and the GI is saying she should have the surgery because her colon isn't getting better. I'm so worried about her. When I went to the hospital I was 120 lbs. I was on TPN for a month so I went in at my normal weight. It's making me crazy that she's so thin.
