Anyone out there taking prescribed time release sodium bicarbonate to help lower Ph levels to reduce uric acid stones from forming?

I was told that time release medicine of any kind I could never use again after my colon is gone. You might want to look into that. As far as the details and why I am not sure. I just listened to what my GI doctor said.

I have never taken anything for stones. Sorry.
