I’m on my second set of setons.  The first silicone set worked fine.  Then my surgeon switched them out with silk setons but didn’t tell me to “rotate” them until 3 weeks later. By that time they were stuck and so painful that I couldn’t budge them.  We decided to go back to the silicone so that I didn’t have to muck around rotating them.  For some reason, the setons are terribly painful. During discharge on Friday, she didn’t say anything about rotating the setons, however when she called my husband to let him know all went well, told him, “make sure she rotates the setons.”. I can barely sit at this point.  I’m so frustrated and confused.  I’ve never been a baby about things, but this is a nightmare.  Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
