sooo turns out the abscess I got drained in January was actually a fistula that no one decided to check out! I'm due to go and get "lay open" and a seton put in which I've stupidly looked at pictures and I'm freaking out!
mostly I was wondering how long people needed off work after the procedure? Is a week too keen or reasonable?
Also im interested if anyone has managed to live happily with a seton!

One week is enough. I have two setons. If your pouch is fine your fistulas are fine. You better find what causes your fistula. I had one and drs do not find the reason. One year later I had the second one. Please take your precautions. I used Imuran and no fistulas ever.

They are starting to suspect I perhaps have Crohn’s disease unfortunately! However I’m a student nurse and if I go on immunosuppressant drugs I am not allowed to continue so I’ve been refusing them for now!! What crap luck! Quite literally haha!! Thanks xoxo
