I had a J-Pouch created over 2007-2008. After healing, I developed horrible skin flares on my glutes near my anus. I suffered for years and nothing really helped. My flares were so sore that sometimes I would bleed. My wife and I stayed in an apartment in Europe that had a bidet, which I had never used before. After one week I noticed an improvement in my skin flares and after two weeks my skin was mostly healed. When we returned home I immediately bought a bidet attachment for our existing toilet (2015). It was under $100 and easy for a plumber or handy person to install. The change in my skin health was dramatic. My skin healed completely and I haven’t had any issues since. The years before my bidet no meds, creams or wipes worked. Since the bidet it’s been smooth sailing. My only concern is when I am away from home with no bidet.

Thanks so much. I try to rely on a hand held shower head when traveling but not always available. I will check it out.
That is soo cool! I am glad you are better
I hear nothing but good things about Bidets!
I personally have not tried it yet. I go 14-20X a day so maybe I do need to try it lol. I have been using wipes and toilet paper so far; I am trying to keep it cheap for now lol.
Over a period of 14 years, I went through three Toto travel bidets and finally got fed up. I checked out the Brondel and just decided to go low tech. I bought a peri bottle. It is just a squirt bottle that has a elongated tip with a bend in it. You squeeze it and it sprays like a shower head. It is a little big for travel - about the size of a size 7 woman's shoe, but I personally liked it better than the Toto.
Thanks for your input.

Hello Marc,
I too have been so much better since having a Bidet, OMG, such a difference. I bought mine from Tushy. They offer a hand held portable bidet for around $30. Very effective.
So glad you have benefited from the cleansing of the bidet. It literally changed the quality of my life.
