Unfortunately, urinary gas can be a symptom of a fistula, so I can see why you are alarmed. Fortunately, it is not the only reason. More likely, this is just from a minor urinary tract infection, which is fairly common. Be sure to mention it to the nurses or the doctor and they can investigate.

Try not to freak out.

sorry for delay but i tried to avoid this fear as the problem didn't appear until now; unfortunately it reappeared, it was a small bit of gas expelled at the end of the urine.

Yes i had the catheter and me too thought to it, as some air can create in the while you have it, but i'm wondering if after 4 days this could still be the explanation.

I add that before the takedown i had a fecografy and it was absolutely perfect as the pouchography was... So I can barely believe this could be the sign of a fistula... Although when i mention it to the surgeon he appeared a bit worried.

However i'm experiencing great pain, as always, this is my third surgery and the pain seems always unbearable, however i am fasting, today had a brothe and a tea and tomorrow probably some potato puree and ham.
I am already having bowel movements, very painful and haven't the sensation to empty the pouch.

add i feel some fever but it's only 37.5C but i feel like a mess, hope it's all normal and can recover soon...

Good night from hospital..
Did they test for urinary tract infection? If a course of antibiotics does not resolve this, THEN worry about the less likely problem of a fistula.

Remember, post op bladder infections are common, fistulas are rare.

It's like they say, "when you hear hoof beats, think horse, NOT zebra!" Meaning, assume it is the common thing, not the uncommon thing, unless proven otherwise.

yes Jan I'm trying to beg the fistula idea but you know when you thought everything is ending it's a bit alarming, luckily they still haven't examined the urinary tract, nor gave me antibiotics... So your hypothesis sounds logical. Morning I went too pee and still had a dark urine, but the color appears not alarming, the odor seems just an urine odor, as i expelling liquid stool color and odor poo from the pouch i suppose it should be much more evident if it were a fistula, not only this tiny bit of sporadic bubbles.

Let's see what the doctor say, but i'm afraidi have to wait on monday... Thanks Jan!
doctor said he will put me on anthibiotics and will send me home, to see if the problem persists.

He also let me understand that if it were really a fistula it will be almost untreatable and will probably lead to pouch excision and permanent ileo... Ok, i'm speculating but i'm beginning to feel desperate, now that everything seemed ok, this problem...

I read that infection caused pneumaturia is very rare so i don't know what to think...

Something is saying to me, there's a small fistula, they didn't see in the pouchography which was perfect... :/
